Off-end’s latest desk concept is a concoction of readily available materials, an all too common self-imposed challenge. The split-slab Ash top straddles painted Douglas Fir and sits on Walnut legs buttressed by Mahogany braces that cradle a Walnut drawer. Disparate radii and unrelated geometries coalesce in an almost exclusively utilitarian esthetic. Even the drawer’s dovetails are a little mad. ⇤Back to Work
